Timing is Everything...

When you get ready to plan an event, you want to give yourself enough time to plan for obstacles, cancellations, schedule changes, additions or revisions. You want to definitely make sure that your finances are covered in the event of any unforeseen circumstances as previously noted.

Following a timeline can ensure the production of an extraordinary event. You want to start with at least six months worth of time so that you will not fall into a time crunch. The following is an example of the first segment of planning:

Six months out
  • Set the date
  • Establish a budget
  • Locate a venue within your budget
  • Create a timeline for the first three months of planning
This guideline should give you an idea of other tasks that need to be handled when planing your event. Keep in mind your theme, guest list, invitations, catering, entertainment, etc. Best of luck!

Until next time...
